Velour’s Summer 2017 Battle of the Bands
If your band is looking for a way to make an impression in Provo’s music scene, our week-long Battle of the Bands is a great opportunity to take those next steps. Hosted twice a year, Velour’s BOTB is a way for us to continuously rejuvenate the music scene, provide bands a space for some friendly competition, and create an opportunity for artists to network among themselves and the community at large.
Although the list of previous winners is diverse, a few you might recognize include The Aces (as The Blue Aces), Neon Trees, and Imagine Dragons.
BOTB consists of five nights of preliminaries followed by a celebrated Finals evening, a panel of judges each night (successful artists and industry professionals, event producers, reps from local press, and well-regarded tastemakers), a prize package to help bands get a boost towards the next steps they want to take, and the challenge to build their fan base and bring their peak-performances.
Submissions are open now, for the Summer 2017 BOTB, open until Monday, May 22nd. The Battle of the Bands will take place June 12th — June 17th. Before submitting, be sure to read more about the Rules & Expectations!
