Velvet Roundup №8 — 🎙 Design Podcasts Edition
Hi! In this week‘s roundup we share some design podcasts we listen to both on and off work. Also, some pictures from the events we had the pleasure to host.
High Resolution
High Resolution is Bobby Ghoshal’s and Jared Erondu’s limited video and audio interview series on product design and design thinking. The series consists of 24 interviews with industry experts, such as Jared Spool, Tom Kelley, Kat Holmes, John Maeda, etc. This should be mandotory listening to everyone who works in the industry. Plus the quality of the production is top notch.
Presentable on Relay FM
Interview podcast hosted by industry veteran Jeff Veen (Design Partner at True Ventures, ex VP of Design at Adobe, ex CEO of Typekit) where he “chats with guests about how design is changing the world.”
Design Matters with Debbie Millman
Debbie Millman’s Design Matters is an important part of the creative industry. The podcast is on its 14th year right now and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. This is definitely one for the history book. If you haven’t listened to it yet you have some long days ahead of you :)
DesignBetter.Co Podcast
DesignBetter.Co Podcast is a part of the design tooling giant Invisions Design Education team’s effort to “introduce the best practices, stories, and insights from the world’s top design leaders.” Also, check out the books and conversations sections. Great stuff.
What Is Wrong with UX?
Laura Klein’s and Kate Rutter’s What is Wrong with UX is an incredibly funny, witty and insightful show about product design, user experience, product management, business and so on. Also, the episodes are rarely over 30 minutes.
99% Invisible
A weekly podcast about architecture and design as a part of our everyday life. 99% Invisible is one of the most downloaded podcast on iTunes with really high production quality.
