MIT Proto Ventures — MIT’s in-house venture studio is expanding and seeking Venture Builders: entrepreneurs with deep technical knowledge to link innovations with the market

News:

X releases insights from Project Amber — X, the moonshot company, launched Project Amber several years ago to analyze EEG data to for biomarkers of depression. While the venture hasn’t yielded a biomarker, the attempt yields interesting insights for building deep tech ventures and the company is releasing its software and hardware as open source.

Pattern Ag closes $15M funding round — Pattern Ag, a venture from The Production Group, helps corn and soybean farmers to understand the microbes in their soil for crop protection. The company will use this round to scale their solution internationally.

Blast from the past: How Pioneer Square Labs works — PSL MD TA McCann shared how the venture studio takes a venture to market, with detailed case studies on how they identify and test ideas. They are also currently hiring a Go-To-Market lead.
