Millennials are more engaged in the digital world than other generations. Where business cards may be the first step in exchanging information, today’s digital world offers many opportunities to develop a dialogue with your network in ways that are innate to this tech-savvy generation. LinkedIn is a great tool for networking and job hunting, while Twitter is the perfect vehicle for driving your contacts to locations where you can showcase your thought leadership.

In a world infiltrated with technology and social networks, exchanging business cards remains an extremely outdated practice. The process of attempting to cognitively remember faces in relation to their card, follow up with an email, then awkwardly begin to connect via LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc. is burdensome and unnecessary.

That’s where Contap comes into play. Contap is a rapidly growing startup whose mobile application allows users to instantly connect on all social medias. Contap aggregates your social world so you can view feeds from all your socials, make calls, email, text right from the app. Then with a single tap, allows you to connect in person or four other ways to customize exactly what you want to share with friends.

I met Jason Craparo, CEO and Co-founder of Contap, at a meetup event in early December. Craparo earned all of the top academic awards while attending Babson College, the #1 School in the world for entrepreneurship. He then went on to raise a round from a Boston-based venture capitalist to launch Contap 3 months ago.

I remember foolishly asking Craparo for a business card after the event when he replied, “just add my Contap.” I did, and can honestly say I’ve had a tremendous experience using the app ever since. Every aspect of the app is designed to be incredibly intuitive and user friendly. I received a text from Craparo on my ride home after the event, and had requests on LinkedIn and Facebook waiting for me by the time I arrived home. The ability to seamlessly connect and move quickly in the fast-paced world of business was a breath of fresh air compared to digging through business cards and waiting on an email response.

Craparo says, “meeting new people is fun, but trying to share your contact information and social platforms with people is time consuming and very inconvenient. Millennials need a digital solution to quickly swapping the socials or contact info they want someone to have.”

Competitors do bits-and-pieces of what Contap does, but none do it all — making Contap the most comprehensive solution on the market. No other app connects in person, allows customized sharing, allows you to share with someone who doesn’t have the app, aggregates your social platforms into one app, and views that content in the same app.

Contap is live on the App Store and the Google Play store and would love for you to download the app. Contap is built for socially active people who have more to share than just a business card. You can download the app and begin taking your relationships to a new level at contap.io/download.
