Google recently released the Android N developer beta surprisingly soon. Usually out after Google I/O, the Android beta introduces a host of new features, and minor improvements that make the user experience more enjoyable.

One of the most talked about changes was in the settings app. The app features a new slide in menu that makes it easier to jump between different settings pages. From the general section (or any other section), you can slide in on the left side, and reveal a new menu that will let you access all of the sections.

Another change is the notification shade. It now spans the width of the whole screen and notifications give you more information. You are now able to reply to messages directly within the notification shade.

These along with some other improvements were the highlight of Android N’s new functionality.
