Apple Updates iOS with new Home App

During Apple’s WWDC conference, they finally filled us in on the latest features coming to iOS.

Along side a newly redesigned lock screen, and a new look for notifications, apple has added a new app that allows you to control all of your smart home devices from one app. The app connects to all of your smart devices

and puts them all in one place. The app works really well with 3D Touch, and is very simple to use.

When using the app you can activate or deactivate specific devices, or you can set up scenes. Scenes are basically presets for your home. You can set a scene for the morning and have your coffee machine, shades, and lights turn on automatically.

Siri Integration

Scenes also work with Siri. You can say, “Hey Siri, I’m home now.” and Siri will automatically set up your home to your preset settings. You can also use Siri to control single devices.
