Google and Facebook start quietly removing extremist videos.

Facebook and Google, two of the largest video sources on the internet, have recently started removing extremist content from their websites using advanced automated software. This move comes after a recent surge in extremist videos being uploaded to their sites.

Recent surges in extremist propaganda and world pressures have urges more companies to start actively removing violent content from their sites.

The technology works by reading “hashes”-a type of digital identification- attached to videos and deletes all videos associated with the hash. The technology was originally used to remove copyright protected content from sites.
