What we’ve accomplished in Q3 and what to expect in Q4

In Q3, Verasity set the stage for the rollout of its major platforms: Esports Tournaments, VeraViews Platform (VOD, AdStack, PoV), NFT Marketplace and VeraWallet.

Esports Platform

Whereas Q3’s original target was to provide some minor updates to Esports Fight Club, Verasity has been busy rebuilding a completely new esports tournament site from scratch. Together with its gaming partnerships, Verasity will launch a completely new esports platform early in Q4 with significant partnership tournament announcements. The new platform is being built in collaboration with major gaming publishers to meet their requirements as well as ours as part of a long term partnership.

VeraViews Platform

As announced, we rolled out the side chain with the VeraAdStack and entered a closed Beta implementation of VeraViews running on Proof of View. We are integrating VeraPlayer, VeraAdStack, video CMS for Video content and Live Streaming with our enterprise distribution video platform partner (TBA). Once this step is completed and tested in Q4, the PoV module will be added to the VeraAdStack to stop ad fraud and provide accelerated accounting, transparency and payments to video publishers.

The next step will be to integrate the Esports Platform into the enterprise distribution video platform with VOD, Streaming video, VeraViews and PoV in production. After the beta is complete, VeraViews will be made available to the 6,000 large video publishers worldwide currently using the enterprise distribution video platform.

NFT Marketplace

We have started the development of an NFT Marketplace targeting gaming NFTs that will permit the minting of NFTs via a smartcontract with perpetual licensing for the creator and within a Proof of View secured anti-fraud protocol. The NFT Marketplace will be released in partnership with a major gaming partner. Currently major game publishers are reluctant to provide creatives to be minted as NFTs for three reasons:

They are not paid for the NFTs after the first sale. Perpetual licenses will become the standard for the major game publishers.
Cosmetics in primary and secondary markets are based on exclusivity. Collectables often include 3rd party franchise deals and in-game items associated with pay-to-win mechanics. In-game items and collectibles would be included as minted NFTs and replace the current cosmetics marketplaces. This would provide publishers with long tail revenues well beyond the first transfer/sale of their creatives.
The current NFT fraud environment without any protocol standards is unacceptable.

Verasity is now in development with a major game publisher to overcome these hurdles to launch a game NFT marketplace which will be the standard in the industry. Once launched, major game publishers will either join the marketplace or purchase a license from Verasity to build a Verasity approved and powered NFT marketplace.

VeraWallet

Verasity has decided to substantially rebuild VeraWallet for the second half of 2022 which will include launching VeraPay native apps to make VeraWallet the hub of all VRA activities.

VeraPay native apps will include financial services such as off-ramp, VeraCard support and in-app notifications. Users will be able to order VeraCard and use it for shopping on various online platforms and purchasing physical goods in stores.

VeraWallet revamp will include a completely rethought UX and UI, adding new security measures, and having VeraPay functionality available within the VeraWallet to make VeraWallet the center of the VRA ecosystem.
