1Q84 is a novel written by Japanese author Haruki Murakami. The book was first published in Japan in 2009 and has since been translated into multiple languages. The novel is a complex and multi-layered work that explores a wide range of themes, including the nature of reality, the power of memory, and the human search for meaning and purpose.

At its core, 1Q84 is a story about two characters, Aomame and Tengo, whose paths intersect in unexpected ways. Haruki Murakami

I an author, translator, and jazz enthusiast, born in Kyoto, Japan in 1949 and grew up in Kobe. He graduated from Waseda University in 1975 with a degree in theater arts. After working at a variety of jobs, including running a jazz bar and working as a translator, he began writing full-time in 1982.
