On January 28th, Valentina Shevchenko and Julianna Peña will compete in a five round contest, which will likely determine the next title challenger for Amanda Nunes’s UFC Bantamweight title. In the co-main event, Donald Cerrone will compete in front of his hometown of Denver, Colorado against Jorge Masvidal. Let’s take a look at the pre-fight data for UFC on FOX: Shevchenko vs. Peña.

Valentina Shevchenko vs. Julianna Peña

Since becoming the first Women’s Ultimate Fighter winner in 2013, Julianna Peña has gone undefeated in the UFC, compiling a record of 40. Peña will fight Valentina Shevchenko, who is coming off a win against former UFC Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm.

Though Julianna Peña is undefeated in the UFC, the most common pick on Verdict is Valentina Shevchenko winning by decision.

Of those that beleive Julianna Peña will win, 25% believe she will do so by decision.

Donald Cerrone vs. Jorge Masvidal

Since moving up to Welterweight in 2016, Donald Cerrone has finished all four of his opponents. Cerrone will battle Jorge Masvidal, who will be competing in his 43rd professional fight. Masvidal is coming off a TKO victory against Jake Ellenberger.

Cerrone is a heavy favorite, as 86% of Verdict are predicting him to defeat Masvidal. Jorge Masvidal has not suffered a knockout loss since 2008. With that being said, 45% of Verdict believe that Donald Cerrone will finish Masvidal by knockout.

Andrei Arlovski vs. Francis Ngannou

This bout is a battle between a rising star and a former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Francis Ngannou is one of the most dangerous competitors in the Heavyweight division, as he has a 100% finishing rate. This could be problematic for Arlovski, who has been finished in his last three fights.

The majority of Verdict believe that Ngannou will continue his finishing streak, as 71% are predicting him to finish the former Heavyweight Champion by knockout.

Alex Caceres vs.Jason Knight

Coming off of a close split decision loss to Yair Rodríguez, Alex Caceres is looking to rebound with a victory against Jason Knight.

Caceres is favored to win this contest, as 68% of Verdict are predicting him to defeat Jason Knight.
