On the eve of the holidays and New Year, we are proud to share that our growth this year is catching the attention of some top influencers covering innovations in tech and hospitality. Here are two recent pieces of press coverage we want to highlight:

In a new GreenBiz article, top greentech journalist Heather Clancy named Verdigris one of “10 companies moving up in smart buildings.”

We are proud to have our work recognized alongside giants including Cisco, IBM, Panasonic, and Honeywell. The increasing number of players investing in the emerging space of IoT-connected commercial building management shows the potential of smart technology to create more sustainable built environments on a global scale. As Heather notes in her article,

“Think of it this way: the Internet of things (aka IoT) is crucial for broader adoption of smart buildings. That will have big implications for how companies handle energy management. And for the next three years at least, IoT will be more pervasive in smart commercial buildings than anywhere else, suggested consulting firm Deloitte.”

The growing interest in smart energy management comes as no surprise to our team here at Verdigris. We’ve long believed in the potential for smart buildings to support business outcomes. Our customers constantly share with us their stories of how the simple, actionable insights Verdigris provides help them save time and money managing their facilities. In fact, Hotel Business just published this feature on how Verdigris AI is making sense of energy management for hotels.

We love how our friend Juan Bueno, GM of the LEED-certified SF Orchard Hotel, talks about why he teamed up with Verdigris.

“We decided to partner with Verdigris mainly due to our staffing levels and, at the time, our maintenance team’s strength,” he explained. “We had a team of four individuals, but only one was adequate for the position — this made me nervous and Verdigris could offer instantaneous information should any issues arise. This helped address items in a more timely manner and with better knowledge of what the issues may be.”

We are excited to round out a busy growth year for Verdigris with these two highlights, and we look forward to ramping up even more in 2017.

Happy holidays!
