My family owns gold that is at least a hundred years old.

Me and my sister are above in these pictures. Both the pictures are from our marriages, and the gold we are wearing is gifted by our parents and in-laws together.

According to the above mentioned article, Indian households have more gold than World Bank’s reserve worth 21000 tons. Isn’t it astonishing? Gold has been always a priority as an investment in India. No other item holds that much safety for Indians in terms of investment.

My grandmother told me that she brought gold jewelry to her parents' home. She even mentioned how many times her gold jewelry helped her family during tough times. Everyone knows that Gold is precious and provide good returns. In three decades of life until recently I have never seen anyone investing in stock market or mutual funds. FDs and real estate comes second in terms of investment. But Gold is always on the top.
