Let’s start with a test. When did you last time stop doing everything and tried to calm your mind? When was the last time you sit alone and did nothing?

In this digital age, it has become really hard to do nothing. So, we move. We move from laptops to mobiles to magazines to newspaper to books to Netflix to phone calls to everywhere.

We are complicating everything. We are trying to be updated with everything possible. The era of courses has started, there is a course for everything. Traditional pass on thing is getting extinct. Instead of gathering the knowledge from our ancestors, we google everything. Google has made us less dependent on others as well as less connected with people too.

Whenever we google something, we immerse ourselves into the world of noise. Every sponsored and non sponsored websites are calling for our attention. Give your attention some attention. Decide where your attention should and must be.

I know we cannot even live without it in this modern world. What we can do is reduce some of the noise. Here are few tips.

  1. Instead of google everything, trying to ask people.
  2. Shut the unwanted reels, and shorts.
  3. Don’t pick or make unnecessary calls.
  4. Don’t read unwanted things.
  5. Don’t buy everything. Need is important.
  6. Block the notifications.

Above mentioned things are a head start. You can add more or subtract some.

Next important thing is calming your mind. I, myself is still working on it.

Just give yourself some time alone, when you do nothing.

  1. Sit in a park and do nothing.
  2. Sit on the terrace and look around.
  3. Sleep on the floor and notice the clouds.
  4. Stand in your balcony and smile at passerby's.
  5. Sleep on your couch, and think nothing.

Again, add more, subtract few.

All I am asking you to take everything lightly, give some space to yourself, breathe, let go, and stay grateful.

Gratitude is everything. Gratitude is calming.
