Auburn Tigers vs Arkansas Razorbacks

Odds: Arkansas -2
Time: February 27th, 9:00 PM EST

Auburn Tigers

(24–5)

Bruce Pearl leads his Auburn Tigers into Bud Walton Arena to take on their SEC rival, Arkansas. The Tigers sit on top of the Southeastern Conference by 1.0 game over Tennessee and tonight’s opponent, Arkansas, is just 3.0 games behind. It’s a rarity that Kentucky is not in control of the SEC but the Tigers have played well most of the season and have one of the top scoring offenses in the nation, averaging 84.3 PPG.

The Tigers have only five losses on the season but three of them have come in their last 10 games and they have lost two of their last three games. The Tigers can clinch at least a share of the SEC title with a win Tuesday night at rival Arkansas; they can clinch it outright for the first time since 1999 if they win and Tennessee falls at Mississippi State.

Arkansas Razorbacks

(20–9)

If there is a team in the SEC that go shot for shot with Auburn it would be Arkansas. The Razorbacks average 82.2 PPG and they have won five of six games. The Razorbacks will have revenge on their mind following an 11-point loss to Auburn in the previous meeting on Jan. 6th, 88–77. Jaylen Barford paces this team averaging 18.1 points per game.

Arkansas is (14–2) at home this season, 9–7 in SEC play and 15–14–1 ATS on the season. The Razorbacks will need to do a better job on the defensive side of the court and working the glass. Currently, the Razorbacks allow 75.5 PPG and grab 32.9 defensive boards per game. They will need to do a much better job tonight considering the Tigers grab 38.5 offensive rebounds per game.

Auburn vs Arkansas NCAAB Prediction

What is Brandon Katsaros Predicting?

The Tigers have cooled off a bit and could be hitting a late season let down. However, with the SEC title within reach, Bruce Pearl should have this team ready for a conference rival. Auburn is 12–4 ATS their last 16 games, 9–3 ATS in their last 12 against opponents with winning percentages over .600, 7–0 ATS in their last seven following a loss, and 7–1–1 ATS in their last nine trips to Arkansas. The Razorbacks are 4–11 ATS in their last 15 against winning opponents, 1–5 ATS in their last six at home against opponents with winning road records. I like this Auburn team to put it together tonight and I really like them getting a bucket. Take the Tigers plus the points in tonight’s matchup.

Auburn vs Arkansas Pick: Auburn +2
