Chicago Bears (1–5; 1–5 ATS;3–3 O/U) vs. Green Bay Packers (3–2; 2–2–1 ATS; 2–3 O/U)

Kick Off: 8:25pm ESTThe Line: Packers -7.5, 46
The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers play a NFC North division game Thursday night at Lambeau Field. Game time is 8:25pm EST. Chicago blew a big fourth quarter lead and were edged 17–16 by the Jaguars last Sunday and the Packers struggled in a 30–16 home loss to the Cowboys. The Chicago Bears are an absolute mess and the Packers simply have not looked like an Aaron Rodgers lead Packers team. Regardless, this is an NFC North rivalry game and I provide my detailed analysis and prediction is below.
When Jake Cutler injured his thumb there were immediate questions regarding his toughness and will to play. A quarterback controversy was stirred up in Chicago and most likely we will see Cutler in another uniform next season. Brian Hoyer has stepped in and became the first quarterback in team history to record four consecutive 300-yard passing games. Hoyer has thrown for 1,396 yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions. While Hoyer has played decent for a backup, this Bears team lacks a running game and their defensive secondary has issues. Chicago is now conceding an average of 23.8 points per game, ranking them 19th in the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers has not been vintage Aaron Rodgers so far this season and he has yet to throw for 300 yards in a game. On the season, Rodgers has thrown for 1,170 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions. Rodgers looks to move on from Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys after fumbling the ball on the 1 yard line which was recovered by Dallas and was a huge turning point in this game.
One of the main issues with the Packers is their lack of a run game. Eddie Lacy is nursing a sore ankle which may alter their game plan for Thursday night. Lacy has yet to get going totaling 360 yards with zero touchdowns through five games.
The Packers defense is banged up and their secondary is a mess which has Brian Hoyer licking his chops. The Packers still have a top ranked rush defense but Green Bay is now conceding an average of 22.6 points per game, placing them 16th in the NFL.

Bears vs Packers Thursday Night Football Prediction: Under 46
Green Bay just hasn’t looked like themselves. The Packers struggles stem from the running game and Eddie Lacy hasn’t been able to show any signs of improving. Both teams are playing on a short week and have injuries to deal with on both sides of the ball. Look for this game to play to a low score and cash the Under 46.
