Packers Betting Preview

The Green Bay Packers come into the postseason after finishing with a record of 9–8. Jordan Love has led the Packers to the Playoffs in the first season as a starter and has thrown for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. With an absolute rollercoaster of a season in Green Bay, the Packers looked all but eliminated when they sat at 6–8 a few weeks back. However, they rattled off three straight wins, sneaking their way in as the seventh seed. Love brings with him a stellar receiving cast that features rookie wideout Jayden Reed who finished the season with nearly 800 yards receiving and eight touchdowns. In addition to two quality tight ends, the Packers also boast a rushing attack of AJ Dillion and Aaron Jones but both backs are slightly banged up and probably on Sunday. Defensively, the Packers were a top 10 unit allowing 20.6 points per game this season. This unit will be tested early and often facing the Cowboys who led the NFL with 37.4 PPG on their home turf.

Cowboys Betting Preview

The Dallas Cowboys trailed the Eagles most of the season in the NFC East but they persevered and won their last two games to take the NFC East and the #2 seed. Dak Prescott is in the MVP conversation after throwing for 4,516 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. This offense has plenty of playmakers at Prescott’s disposal as Tony Pollard has a team-high 1,005 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns and CeeDee Lamb has a team-high 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. Dallas’ defense was one of the best in the NFL this season under coordinator Dan Quinn. His unit limited opponents to just 18.5 points per game, which was fifth overall. Micah Parsons led the defense and accumulated 14 sacks on the season. Despite suffering some injuries at the linebacker position and the secondary, this unit has been very good, especially at home.

This will be an exciting matchup with the high-flying Cowboys offense and surging Green Bay Packers. Weather won’t be a concern playing inside AT&T Stadium which would open the possibilities of some fireworks. Dallas led the NFL with points scored at home and the Packers have scored over 27 points in four of their last seven games. The Cowboys' injuries on defense make them susceptible to the run game which will open the field for play action. The Cowboys have playmakers all over the field and have a knack for putting up points at home. This is a very pass-heavy team, and they’ll have a favorable matchup against a Green Bay defense that finished the year 20th in terms of pass yards allowed per attempt (6.7). If the Packers are playing from behind, Jordan Love is certainly capable of slinging it around the field. Love registered a 122.2 rating indoors this season, posting a 66.7% completion rate and a 9/0 TD/INT ratio. I like this game to Over 50.5 points in what could be one of the more exciting games of the weekend slate.
