Packers Betting Preview
The Green Bay Packers’ decisive 48–32 victory over the Dallas Cowboys last weekend has this team full of confidence. Despite the Cowboys making a game of it late, the score doesn’t exactly tell the whole story as the Packers dominated early on. In their past three road games, the Packers have put up 114 points (38.0 ppg). In general, the offense has been much sharper since November and the Packers quietly have a complete offense that is only getting better each week. Defensively, Green Bay is banged up and lost Kingsley Enagbare to an ACL injury last week. On the season the Packers allowed 20.6 PPG but they have allowed 30+ points in three of the last five games. They will have their hands full with the looks the 49ers present with presnap motion and a roster full of playmakers.
49ers Betting Preview
The San Francisco 49ers come into the postseason as the top seed in the NFC, finishing with a record of 12–5. Brock Purdy has thrown for 4,280 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions while Christian McCaffrey has a team-high 1,459 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. The 49ers had the benefit of a rest week last week but now it’s go-time for a group that finished the season third in scoring at 28.9 points per game. As a team, the Niners finished third in rushing yards and fourth in yards per attempt and it’s pretty clear how the 49ers were one of the best teams in the NFL the entire season. The defense has been solid all season allowing foes to just 17.5 PPG and just 303 total yards per game. The Ravens and Bengals were the only teams to score at least 20 points on the 49ers in Levi’s Stadium but will the Packers be the third team?
Free Pick
The Packers opened a lot of eyes last weekend when everyone assumed the Cowboys would be the team that lit up the scoreboard. Both the Packers and 49ers have shown a tendency to participate in high-scoring games, with the Packers holding an over/under record of 11–7 this season and the 49ers at 9–7–1. Last Saturday’s performance of Jordan Love, who effectively shredded a sound Dallas defense, adds confidence to the offensive capabilities of the Packers. San Francisco, on the other hand, also has a potent offensive combination of playmakers from Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey, and Brandon Aiyuk to name a few. When all of these key offensive weapons are active for the 49ers, they have proven to be nearly unstoppable, amplifying the likelihood of a high-scoring affair. Look for this game to go Over 50.5 on Saturday night it is an entertaining matchup.
