Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals tips off on Saturday night in Oakland with the Rockets leading the best of seven series (3–2). With a win, the Rockets will clinch the Western Conference and deny the Warriors a chance to repeat as Champions. Oddsmakers are heavily favoring the Warriors at home as many expect the Warriors to force a Game 7.
Houston appears to be without PG Chris Paul who suffered an injured hamstring in Game 6. If Paul is unable to play, James Harden will need to increase his workload. Harden has led the Rockets with 28.1 points and 6.7 assists but has struggled with his shooting going 5-for-21 from the floor in Game 5. Paul has been the floor general and averaged 21.1 points and 5.8 assists but his presence alone brings a veteran leader.
It’s do or die for the Golden State Warriors in Game 6. Turnovers have plagued the Warriors, committing 16 turnovers on Thursday, the same number of miscues they had in their loss in Game 4 to go along with 15 turnovers in Game 2. Golden State has missed Andre Iguodala on the defensive end and it is unclear if he will suit up for Saturday night.
Under is 39–18 in Rockets last 57 overall
Under is 19–7–1 in Warriors last 27 games following a ATS loss.
Under is 5–1 in Warriors last 6 games playing on 1 days rest
Under is 14–2 in Rockets last 16 vs. NBA Pacific
Chris Paul’s absence will certainly impact the Rockets offense and defense. The Rockets have played solid defensively and they are forcing turnovers. The Rockets will keep up the defensive intensity without Paul but his offense will be missed. The last three games have fallen UNDER the total and this trend continues in Game 6.
