The New York Knicks entered the All-Star break on a four-game losing streak and going 0–4 ATS during this span. Last time out, New York allowed Orlando to shoot 63% from the field during a 118–100 road loss despite Jalen Brunson’s efforts in a 33-point, 6-assist outing. The Knicks, like the Sixers, were banged up entering the All-Star break but F Bojan Bogdanovic (calf) and G Donte DiVincenzo (hamstring) are expected to suit up for this contest. However, they will still be without O.G. Anunoby and Julius Randle until early March. On the season, the Knicks have averaged 114.5 PPG while allowing 109.9 PPG, which ranks them 3rd in the NBA. The Knicks will need a big game out of All-Star Jalen Brunson to get this team back in the win column.
76ers Betting Preview
The Philadelphia 76ers have also been hit by the injury bug and will be without Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Nicolas Batum, De’Anthony Melton, and Robert Covington. The only remaining starter is 1st time All-Star, Tyrese Maxey who is second on the team averaging 25.7 PPG and 6.4 APG. Buddy Hield was acquired before the trade deadline and he has been a nice addition to this team averaging over 20 PPG with the Sixers. The pieces are there for a deep run in the Playoffs but they will need Joel Embiid to get healthy. The 76ers rank sixth in the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring 118.3 points per contest but were limited to 42 points during the second half of a 109–104 home loss versus Miami. Tyrese Maxey led all scorers with 30 points (12–23 FG), seven assists, and six rebounds. The Sixers are just 3–7 in their last 10 games but they managed to knock off Washington and Cleveland before their loss to Miami.

Both teams have significant injuries to overcome but the Knicks may be getting some players back tonight that should help. I am not sold on either of these teams with their current rosters which is why I will look to exploit the total. Two out of the last three matchups have gone Under with healthy rosters so I am pounding the Under 226 in Thursday’s matchup. Too many high-scoring players are missing from the lineups so look for this total to fall under this line.
