Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2–5) vs. Seattle Seahawks (6–2)

Line: Seahawks -5, O/U 52.5
Two teams on opposite ends of the NFL spectrum will take the field on Sunday at CenturyLink Field as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Seattle Seahawks. The Bucs have lost three-straight games heading into Sunday’s showdown are 2–5 ATS on the season and 2–2 SU on the road. Seattle has won four of five matchups and last week took care of Atlanta on the road, 27–20 but they are 0–2 ATS the last two games.

Tampa Bay has averaged 28 PPG this season but they live and die with QB Jameis Winston (14 TD, 12 INT). Winston has thrown 7 interceptions over his last two starts, including a 5 interception performance vs. the Panthers. The Seahawks haven’t played well defensively this year, but they do have some ball-hawks in the secondary that have already claimed seven interceptions on the season and they could test Winston on Sunday afternoon. Winston would be happy to drop back 40+ times but it would be wise for the Bucs to lean more on the running game. Tampa Bay’s defense has allowed 30 PPG but they do lead the NFL by allowing only 68.6 rushing yards per game. The Buccaneers’ top-ranked rushing defense could make life difficult on Seahawks running back Chris Carson (659 yards, 5 TD). Tampa Bay is 4–0 ATS the last four meetings vs. the Seahawks.

Seattle (3–5 ATS) has scratched and clawed all season to 2nd place in the NFC West. The Seahawks are clearly in the playoff picture despite playing some close games and three of their five wins coming by a combined 6 points. Russell Wilson (2127 yards, 17 TD, 1 INT) has played at an MVP level and he may be called on more this Sunday facing a stout Buccaneers run defense. Wilson should be able to find some holes in the Tampa Bay secondary with his ability to extend plays in the pocket. Seattle is 0–5 ATS their last 5 home games.
The road team is 7–3 ATS the last 10 meetings and the underdog is 4–1 ATS the last 5 meetings between these teams. I think the Tampa Bay rush defense is the x-factor as they aim to make Seattle a one-dimensional team. The Seahawks defense is good but they too have some issues in their secondary. I believe the Buccaneers should keep this game close with their ability to score and stop the run which is why I am taking Tampa Bay Buccaneers +5.
