Utah is (6–1 SU) on the season and are a nationally ranked program heading into Week 8. UCLA has struggled recently but they will see their starting QB, Josh Rosen, make a return vs the Utes today.

The UCLA offense is averaging 26 points per game with 91.1 rushing yards and 318.6 passing yards. UCLA lost a tough Week 1 game in OT vs Texas A&M, 31–24. Of their 4 losses they have lost by an average of 6.5 points per loss. They have played in some tight games in which they just couldn’t pull through with the victory. It won’t get any easier Saturday afternoon when they host the Utes who have the 24th ranked defense in the country.

Utah heads into Pasadena off a win over Oregon State, 19–14. It was their defense that held this team together and managed to limit Oregon State to convert only 3 of 16 third downs. Utah’s lone blemish on their record came at Cal, losing 28–23. Despite UCLA’s record this may be the toughest team the Utes have faced in 2016.

This spread smells fishy with books giving the Bruins a touchdown advantage. I see two solid defenses that have played well this season and two offenses that have sputtered at times. Look for this game to go Under 46.5 in a low scoring defensive battle.
