Verify announces partnership with Eat
Dubai, UAE: Verify has just announced a strategic partnership with Eat, the OpenTable of the Middle East. Eat customers will soon be able to pay for table bookings using cryptocurrencies, powered by Verify Payments.
Nezar Kadhem, Founder and CEO of Eat, commented: “The restaurant payment space is evolving quickly, and users are constantly requesting “Uber-like” payment experiences when dining out. Since all billing data lives on the restaurant POS, we can pull that data in, and allow users to pay using their mobile device. Diners can walk-out of the restaurant without asking for the bill.”
We found out what innovators like Verify were doing, and found them to be the perfect fit to help us instantly transfer funds to restaurants, through the use of cryptocurrencies — Nezar Kadhem, Eat CEO
With this partnership, Eat would sign up as an early merchant for Verify Payments, offering their customers the ability to pay for their restaurant reservations using cryptocurrency, and allowing restaurants to get paid in fiat currency in a cost-effective manner.
In addition, customers would benefit from the reputation data collected through the Verify platform, allowing them to see the reputation of the restaurant and detailed reviews before proceeding with their booking.
Yazin Alirhayim, CEO at Verify, added: “This is the first in a series of partnerships that Verify is announcing, allowing mainstream services like Eat solve their payment challenges through the innovative use of cryptocurrencies.”

Eat plans to adopt Verify Payments in stages, and will be one of the first merchants to adopt Verify Payments once the beta release is made available.
