Georgia Police Appeal To Anonymous Tipster In Fresh Drive To Solve Cold Case Murder
Blake Chappell’s killing remains unsolved, but someone out there may know something.
Authorities in Georgia are reinvestigating the murder of a teenager dating back to 2011 and want someone who wrote in with information before to talk to them again in a bid to crack the case.
Blake Chappell was 17 and had attended a homecoming dance at East Coweta High School on October 16th 2011. The celebration went without a hitch, with Blake telling his mother over the phone that it had been the best night of his life as he danced with his many friends and his girlfriend Rion.
At around 10:30 PM, Rion’s mother Shannon picked her daughter and Blake up from the school and took them back to her house where they watched a movie together. Shannon then drove Blake to his friend Austin’s house, where he had planned to spend the night.
However, it was after this that things started to go awry. Blake left Austin’s house on foot to return to Rion’s some time between 2:00 and 3:00 AM, sneaking in through her bedroom window.
Unfortunately, Rion’s grandmother caught Blake in her room and Blake snuck out of the house again at around 5:00 AM to return to Austin’s, sending…
