I had the pleasure of interviewing Domínica about her school’s poster session, 6 Best Projects for Your Classroom. She is a student at Centro Escolar Los Altos, a school in Mexico. This school regularly brings students to offer stellar poster sessions at ISTE. You can visit their site and see resources from this year as well as previous year’s offerings dating back to 2012.

While the actual resources are definitely worth checking out (especially their use of the HP Reveal app), what I love most about this 5 minute interview is the student’s willingness to lean in, let her voice be heard and share her enthusiasm for these projects. Even if you don’t speak Spanish, I hope you’ll be able to sense how great she does and to be as inspired by her as I was.

Her teachers and school community must be so proud of her public speaking and interpersonal communication skills. Even when telling us that she doesn’t know something, it’s fluid and with confidence. Domínica makes clear for us the importance of Student Voice and of making learning visible. You can click to watch the whole interview below.

Thanks for reading. If you liked this post, please click to clap and recommend it to others!
