Bing AI assistant to Edge
If you are looking for a new way to enhance your browsing experience on the web, you might want to try out Microsoft Edge with its AI-powered copilot feature, powered by Bing AI.
It allows you to access various tools and services from Bing without leaving your current tab, such as getting answers, composing content, chatting with an AI assistant and discovering insights.
This blog post is related to our last blog post on Bing AI, we will show you how Bing AI as an AI assistant in Edge can help you boost your productivity and creativity on various tasks and scenarios on the web, such as researching topics, writing emails, blog posts, generating images and many more.
One of the latest feature is, Bing AI can generate images now as it is using DALL-E too along with GPT4.
Here are a few examples where we evaluated this feature:
- We asked to create an image of elephant playing Badminton by selecting creative mode.
- We opened a Reddit post and asked for a summary of the link provided in that post, Bing AI assistant provided a summary of the link without navigating the link. Although the summary was average still this feature can help in saving a lot of time and also overcomes the user's common problems like distraction.

- In another example, we searched S&P 500 index and asked the question to Bing assistant to compare the index with yesterday’s index. It was able to give correct information.
- An exciting example is when I played a youtube video asking a question related to that video.
It was able to give correct information about the guy in the video, preventing us to switch to another tab and search for the same.
This is a validated answer from a google search —
- Although in this example, it was not able to create a summary of the video played on youtube. It shows that it cannot access the actual content of videos. But still, it proves to be helpful in a lot of tasks.
- We asked to write a blog on Zero-Shot Learning (by selecting the tone as professional, format as a blog post and length as short). It was able to write an awesome blog.
Conclusion
After exploring it, this proved that this feature makes Edge a powerful browser, which changed the complete way of browsing. One of the important things we noticed is Bing AI assistant will provide a more accurate answer if we stay on the same topic if questions are similar, and if there is any new question (not contextually same with old chats), then hit the new topic button. It can help in increasing productivity and saving a lot of time for users.
