Did you know: You can track Vaccinations & Test Results in PeopleSoft HCM
Questions around mandating the COVID-19 vaccine have no clear answer. Will it be mandated by the government? Will it become a compliance/reporting requirement? There are still many unknowns, we should expect more clarification moving forward.
In some parts of the UK, it is now a legal requirement to check people’s COVID status in certain settings, and for some people working in health and social care roles to have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Where it is not a legal requirement, tracking this information is at the discretion of the organisation. After all ‘Safety First’
In this blog, I have outlined the new feature of PeopleSoft’s Health and Safety module (included with your HCM’s Human Resource license) which can help your organisation to simplify capturing of Vaccination information and Test Results.
This feature has been released as part of PeopleSoft HCM Image 40.
Key aspects of tracking Vaccinations and Test Results
👉 Employees can enter vaccination details or decline vaccination with a reason via Employee Self Service
👉 You can upload supporting documentation. The configuration option is available to make the documentation mandatory
👉 Ability to enable acknowledgement
👉 You can define Immunization details by country, respective manufacturers along with dosage requirements. You can also specify the authorization status of the vaccine by manufacturer
👉 Approval by H&S administrator can also be enabled if needed
👉 Moreover, this is Mobile-ready, very quick and easy for your employees to complete from their phone.
👉 Similarly, you can also configure your PeopleSoft application to track Test Results e.g PCR Test, Lateral Flow Test. This will allow employees to enter their Test Results, when & where it has been taken along with supporting documentation and acknowledgement.
As an administrator, you can view, edit, or add employee vaccination & Test Results using the Health & Safety dashboard.
Using the delivered PeopleSoft reporting capabilities, you can easily pull these details in an excel spreadsheet or create simple analytics to report on vaccination goals or percentage of vaccinated employees. A new Kibana dashboard to assist in the monitoring and tracking for employee vaccination and test tracking is already on its way. So, watch this space for more updates!

➤ Data protection is one of a number of factors to consider when thinking about implementing COVID-status checks such as employment law and contracts, H&S requirements, equalities, and human rights, including privacy rights
➤ You should also consider regulations specific to your sector, current public health advice and the latest government guidance
➤ ️What vaccinations do you want to track (COVID, Flu, TB)?
➤ ️What information should be completed by employees?
➤ Do you need approvals/documentation for verification?
➤ Who will act as a H&S administrator?
➤ Is it a local or global roll-out as Vaccination setup can vary by regulatory region/Country?
The future of the current pandemic is uncertain. It’s becoming clearer that organisations are now looking for a flexible, forward-facing solution to proactively take charge of this kind of situation — before it’s needed.
The Vaccination & Test results tracking feature of PeopleSoft HCM is one small step to help you better manage and report this new information, safeguard your workers and workplaces while your organisation gets back to business safely.
