Oracle’s latest release is here, bringing with it a wealth of exciting enhancements. Read on to find the key features I’m most looking forward to…

For any consultant, implementing a new Oracle solution is a great opportunity to simplify the process, achieve efficiencies and provide clients with a slick recruitment strategy. Cue: Recruiting Activity Centre.

A great enhancement for both new and existing clients alike; this feature provides a condensed overview of any action(s) that the Hiring Team has yet to complete.

This current iteration includes actions such as: formatting and posting requisitions, prompts to schedule interviews and submit offers.

A simplified interface allows the user to proactively complete a series of necessary actions within the Recruiting Activity Centre itself, with ease. Alternatively, the Hiring Team can navigate directly to the requisition from the Recruiting Activity Centre.

The operational efficiency of this approach is something that I imagine the Hiring Team will be incredibly appreciative of. The Recruiting Activity Centre simplifies navigation whilst reducing the number of clicks required to complete a transaction. I’m looking forward to seeing how Oracle develop this tool.

Building upon the solid platform of previous releases, release 23C includes additional enhancements to the Career Site.

The candidate experience can often be an overlooked element of a recruitment strategy. Arguably it is one of the most important parts.

Cumbersome application forms can deter applicants. With the ongoing ‘war for talent’ applicants expect a slick, engaging process. The ability to Prefill Pre-Screening Info for returning applicants is a welcomed step in the right direction.

This feature is of particular benefit for roles with numerous benchmarks/ requirements that don’t greatly differ. Responses do however remain editable, should any updates be required.

Meanwhile, h-CAPTCHA Support allows you to configure additional verification. This is useful to minimise the possibility of fraudulent accounts/ bots applying for roles:

Please note that this feature is dependent on a third party, hCAPTCHA.

Perhaps one of the most exciting 23C features is an enhancement to the AI: Top Recommendations.

A series of Candidate Attributes are exposed in the form of star ratings. This is a great enhancement, allowing the Hiring Team to view the strength of an applicant against the requisition criteria, at a glance.

Much in the same way as the existing Top Recommendations functionality currently works; suggested candidates can be added to the requisition as Prospects. A further enhancement, however, allows the user to dismiss suggested candidates accordingly:

Lastly, I thought I would mention an interesting feature specific to Recruiting Booster. If you’re currently using Recruiting Booster, then the ability to Manage Walk-in Interviews for Mass Hiring Events is of particular note. Building on the platform of Events; this new functionality allows the Hiring Team to shortlist and progress event attendees accordingly.

This could be of particular use for organisations completing large-scale recruitment activities such as seasonal hires or the opening of a new office/ store location.
