Last month, I missed watching the planetary alignment of 5 planets but I won’t let that happen when it comes to Oracle Talent Management cloud feature note.

As always, Oracle Talent Management Cloud release 23B is here and it is full of amazing new features aiming to help organisations to attract, develop, and retain the best talent. Here is the list of key features for you to dive into especially compiled by our Oracle Talent Management Cloud experts at Version 1:

Recruiting

👉 Change to Start Date: Simplified One Click Process

Once a rather time-consuming task, Oracle have further optimised the change to start date process within Oracle Recruit.

You can now change the start date of both internal and external candidates in a simple one-step process using the new Change Start Date action within the Oracle Recruit platform itself.

The Change Start Date action is available for applicants that are in the Offer or Post Offer phase. Similarly, the functionality is accessible within the Job Offers page (Manage Job Offers quick action) when job applications are in the HR phase.

👉 Advanced Applicant Filters

You can perform more complex, targeted searches on the job applications list with advanced filtering capabilities.

Filters can include responses to pre-screening questions alongside skills, positions, degrees and any extra info fields that may have been configured.

Additionally, the Keywords field has been further enhanced to include searches against uploaded candidate resumes.

👉Latest Job Applications and Interactions on Grid View

In line with candidate management, further enhancements include the ability to view a candidate’s most recent job application and interaction(s), if applicable. Another rather useful feature includes a Resume Preview link.

Talent Review

👉 Viewing Potential Assessments

In the Talent Review meetings, facilitators can now easily access potential assessment ratings submitted or saved by the reviewers. To do so, facilitators must first select a review population member on their meeting dashboard and then click the View Potential Assessment action. You can view the potential assessment score by selecting the employee on the 9 box grid matrix.

Learn

👉 Automated MS Team Virtual Classroom Attendance

Oracle Cloud Learning now offers enhanced VILT completion rules — a time-saving feature that helps avoid manual completion mistakes. All you need to do is configure the attendance duration time, then any offering activities performed in Microsoft Teams-based virtual classrooms will be marked as completed automatically when the required attending period has been exceeded. This significantly reduces the amount of effort needed and provides greater assurance that things are running smoothly.

👉 Completion Rules for SCORM Content

As a Learning Administrator in Oracle Learning, you now have the power to truly customize how success is determined for SCORM content. You can choose to evaluate the learner’s performance based on their score sent by the content to the eLearning player, or even take advantage of an explicit signal from the content that indicates lesson status to the eLearning player. This approach ensures learners get a truly tailored experience, and works best for when content is divided into multiple parts and may not be completed in a single session.

👉 Automated Withdrawal of Learners with terminated employee

Oracle Cloud Learning now features an automated process that removes learning assignments, recommendations, and learning item access for the learners who are terminated. The ‘Update Learning Assignment Statuses to Deleted or Withdrawn for Learners Whose Employment Was Terminated’ background process prevents active learning assignments from lingering after termination, eliminating the hassle of manual removal!

👉 Redwood Browsing Learner Experience

The new Redwood Browse Learning and Topic Index page provides learners with a completely revamped experience when they explore the learning catalogue. Whether they are looking for something specific or just browsing through various topics, they can find exactly what they need with ease thanks to dedicated Featured and Recommended views, as well as category-specific views that provide related learning topics and items.

👉 Redwood My Team Experience

Redwood Feature enhances managers’ experience of tracking their team learning, making the manager dashboard interactive and reflecting information immediately. Managers can easily search for a learner through their display name, person number, email address or username. They can also:

  • Access quick refinement of summary results with available filters
  • Create personalized saved searches and set up a default search to open upon accessing Team Learning
  • Specify desired sorting of results
  • Quickly gain an overview of a learner’s enrolments, including overdue/due-in-next-30-days statuses via badges
  • Click on learner records to view individual learning enrolment info

👉 Important Note from Oracle on Talent Management Classic UI

Beginning with Update 23B, Talent Management will be delivered with Responsive UX enabled by default. Customers will not have the option to revert back to Classic UI.

If your have not already enabled Responsive UX, it is recommended that the following steps be taken NOW:

  • Evaluate your Classic UI personalizations and determine which to reapply after the transition to Responsive UX
  • If you use Goal Management and Career Development, you must close out “in transit” transactions and create new approval rules for the approval framework used in Responsive UX
  • If you are still using Profile Management Classic Version, you must complete the migration to Profile Management Version 2 prior to the enablement of Responsive UX
