Listen to Oral Histories with Rock Climbers
Many of the stories on Vertical Archives come from the extensive collection of oral histories in the Everett L. Cooley Oral History Project. With the Cooley Collection, you can read the transcripts of interviews with countless climbers from Utah - each a slice of Utah climbing history.
But Rachel Wittmann and Tallie Casucci from the Marriott Library have created a podcast where you can also listen to these oral histories with Ascent Archive.
Episodes of Ascent Archive highlight oral histories from both the Cooley Collection and the newer Rock Climbers Oral History Project, which features interviews with notable rock climbers in the Utah area during 2022-present.
