I am delighted to introduce our first published paper in Veruscript Functional Nanomaterials: ‘Thin h-BN nanosheets synthesized using probe ultrasonication for dual functional applications’.

The research presented in the paper by Guo et al. addresses the challenge of creating ultrathin hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) nanosheets which have potential uses for pollutant adsorption and optical senses. The authors describe a simple technique known as the probe ultrasonication technique to create 2D nanosheets with interesting performances in dyes adsorption and Raman enhancement. I am sure this paper will be well-received by the functional nanomaterials community.

This paper is a great example of the research bridging the gap between fundamental materials discovery and advances in technology which the journal aims to publish. You can sign up to be alerted to all further research published in the journal here.

This is just one of the types of article the journal will publish, we are encouraging submissions on fabrication techniques, unique characteristics of new materials, nanomaterials, composites, metamaterials, magnetic and photonic materials, porous materials, biomaterials, energy materials, photovoltaics, organic electronics, and unusual mechanistic properties. You can submit suitable articles for consideration in the journal here.

I look forward to reading your papers with interest.
