UI / UX Updates

The Vesper community has asked for easier visibility of pools’ VSP rewards as well as API. The Vesper app now reflects this and we’ll continue to improve this design over time.

Platform Growth — Breaching The Half-Billion Barrier

Last week, Vesper achieved the half-billion-dollar milestone in Total Value locked, reaching $737m by mid day Saturday:

Vesper also took the #3 spot on Defipulse “Assets” rankings.

Perhaps the most exciting growth metric of the week: the number of unique holders in the vVSP pool, which increased 67% from 1,522 to 2,543.

VSP Buybacks

After last week’s record revenue draw, and ever increasing TVL, APY stayed high for vVSP depositors as the volume of buybacks has grown significantly. In order to mitigate a growing backlog of revenue, daily buybacks now represent a volume of 125% of the average daily revenue over the last seven days.

Between pool revenue and GYSR payments from the liquidity Geysers, there is about $300,000 — $350,000 in assets remaining as pending buybacks, plus the recurring revenue that accumulates perpetually.

Nexus Mutual

Nexus Mutual now offers insurance for depositors on Vesper. See more below.

Matthew Roszak & Vesper Finance Featured in Forbes

In Forbes, Matthew Roszak highlighted the emerging role that DeFi plays in finance. From the article:

“Vesper, launched just last month and already attracting almost $600 million worth of cryptocurrency “deposits”, wants to make it easier to invest with DeFi — which, much like the wider cryptocurrency space, has struggled with simplifying the user experience over the last decade.”

Around the Community

Vesper continues to leave impressions in the growing “Crypto TikTok” subgroup. Matt Paik shared Vesper as one of his top projects to watch.

Our own team member, Mikey has been updating his Tik Tok as well. He is running a series entitled “DeFi Yearly Challenge”, where he shows you how much he deposited and earned in the USDC holding pool, as well as other series such as “DeFi explainers” and more.

Big(ger) in Japan

The team started noticing increased community participation from Japan, including a translation of Vespernaut Phily’s original how-to video.

Sushiswap Onsen AMA Highlights

There was a lot to cover in the Sushiswap Onsen AMA from a week or so ago, so Vespernauts will be seeing highlights on our YouTube channel. Highlights regarding new pool offerings and security of new products are posted, with many more coming soon.

Vesper on Crypto-YouTube

Our favorite Youtube videos this week include a deep-dive by Invest Global. DeFi Guy discussed why Vesper is a part of his DFG fund. Finally, there’s what the team believes is the first review from Indonesia by Cryptoiz TV.
