What is the ERC-4626 Standard?
In May 2022, the Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 4626 was finalized, defining a standard for yield-bearing vaults. This standard is a significant development for the whole of DeFi as it provides a common framework for yield-bearing vaults, making it easier for developers to create, use, and integrate them.
Through the use of a standardized API, developers can now create tokenized yield-bearing vaults that are compatible with other dApps. This opens the door for users to conveniently participate in yield farming, as their tokens gain compatibility with a wide range of applications.
