Vesper Strategy Update
Vesper has rolled out a new Mainnet strategy, utilizing Sommelier to optimize capital efficiency in both rETH and cbETH grow pools
Overview
Within DeFi, real yield is often referred to as sustainable yield, usually characterized by lower APYs due to its long-term viability. However, Sommelier’s Real Yield ETH vault stands out as a prime example of how users can achieve increased, yet stable returns. It’s this type of innovation that makes us excited to integrate Sommelier’s Real Yield ETH vault into our Mainnet grow pools. This addition will enhance yield potential for users and provide a more powerful, risk-adjusted approach on assets like cbETH and rETH.
The new borrow strategy involves depositing assets into Aave, borrowing ETH, and then depositing that ETH into Sommelier. Initially, we’ll focus on rETH and cbETH pools with 100% of the weight going to this new strategy over the next week, with the possibility of including additional TVL such as stETH. We’re also considering direct Sommelier deposits for different pools, targeting DAI and ETH, with FRAX and WBTC as other potential options.

What does this mean for Sommelier and Vesper users? By adding this strategy, both Vesper and Sommelier users can take their vault positions and deposit them into Metronome to mint synthetic assets or Smart Farm to increase their exposure by up to 4x, offering a unique opportunity to amplify APY.
