Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!

All puppies and kittens, you say? This is what life as a vet tech is REALLY like…

Happy Vet Tech Week to all of you hardworking techs out there! We hope that you’ve found your unicorn clinic 🦄 (or at least some of your unicorn people!) and are celebrating to the fullest this week. We appreciate all that you do day in and day out to save more pet’s lives!

Vetcove Discuss Contest: How are you celebrating techs this week (and beyond)?

There aren’t many jobs that require the level of time, emotional investment, physical strain, and schooling that being a tech calls for. It is truly impressive! We’ve seen a phrase being passed around online recently that states, “If someone’s job requires an appreciation week… then they’re not getting paid enough.” My guess is that we would be hard pressed to find any vet techs that would disagree with that. This means two things: 1. Appreciation Week is that much more important and 2. We can’t just stop at Appreciation Week.

What does your clinic do to celebrate Vet Tech Appreciation week and what do you do on a year round basis that supports your tech staff? What big picture AND small everyday changes has your practice made to make the staff feel more appreciated and fulfilled in their job? On Monday 10/19 the comment on this thread with the highest number of upvotes will receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card!

We hope everyone has an absolutely fantastic week!
