During his training in Kamar-Taj, Doctor Strange read about its powers in the Book of Cagliostro before wielding it himself and facing Dormammu in the Dark Dimension. By using the Eye to trap him in an endless time loop, Doctor Strange relented Dormammu into withdrawing his attack on Earth and taking away his Zealots.
