The first release of VeVe has made its way into the hands of fans and collectors around the world, and we’ve had some truly incredible responses and feedback!
We know that with great power comes great responsibility, and we are incredibly excited to continue to deliver our all-in-one digital collectibles platform and let you in on a few little secrets- so you know which new features are coming to VeVe in early 2021! From photo editing to Showroom upgrades, new accessories to security improvements, it’s safe to say digital collecting is about to get more fun ;)
Photo Editing
Take your VeVe photos to the next level with a suite of photo editing tools, allowing you to fully customise your images and capture that perfect photo!
What tools are there, do you ask? Loads!
For starters, you can crop, zoom, and rotate your photos. Then, adjust the look with a wide array of photo editing tools like brightness, saturation, clarity, shadows, highlights and more.
You can also add filters from a huge library of effects and even add text in a range of fonts, sizes, colors, and effects for that extra bit of POW!
With this new feature we are excited to see what amazing photos you create and look forward to seeing them, so be sure to share them on the Feed!
Showroom Visual Improvements
It’s ok to say it — version 1 of the VeVe Showroom is a little…plain. However, with the Q1 updates, we’re bringing your digital collectibles experience even closer to the real thing with upgraded lighting and textures, so that you can continue to design your best and most creative showroom.
Decorate Showrooms with Accessories
We know, we know, right now your Showrooms are looking a tad empty… But that is all about to change with Showroom Accessories!
As collectors, we love to spend time creating the perfect set up for our collectibles, whether that’s finding the perfect spot for them on our shelves or a pedestal, adding an awesome base to really accentuate the collectible(s) and even add props and surrounding items to create an awesome diorama.
This is exactly what Showroom Accessories will allow you to do, so you can indulge and create your ultimate (digital) fan cave.
So what accessories can I add to my Showrooms? The Accessories library will open with items that allow you to better showcase your digital collectibles followed by a wider range of items, including:
- Displays: shelves pedestals, plinths, stands, vitrines, partitions
- Nature: plants, rocks, scenery
- Urban: dumpsters, fences, walls, buildings
- Indoor: lights, plants, furniture
There will also be license specific props and accessories, such as custom-designed bases so that you can let your creativity fly and customise your entire collectibles experience!
Multiple Collectibles in AR
From the moment we released our first demo video, many of you have asked ‘Can I have multiple collectibles in AR?’ and the answer is soon to be yes!
You will now have two options when it comes to creating your Showrooms:
1. The Gallery style Showroom (which you already know in the app)
2. The new ‘empty’ Showroom
With the empty Showroom, you start with an empty space (duh…) into which you can place multiple collectibles and then move, scale and position them to your heart's content.
Not only can you add collectibles, but you can also soon add Accessories to recreate a scene from Batman or just create an amazing 3D diorama of your favourite collectibles.
In the same way that you currently enjoy the Gallery Showroom in AR, you can also place and walk through your empty Showrooms in augmented reality, meaning you can enjoy your digital collection without all the walls and ceiling to contain your excitement!
Don’t forget: You can create as many showrooms as you like- so you can create a brand new one for each series or brand, or fill them with all of your favorite collectibles. It’s completely up to you. Just don’t forget to name and share them with the rest of the VeVe collector community so everyone can enjoy them :)
Share to Feed
We’ve heard your feedback, and we’re making it easier to share your photos and showrooms to the Feed.
In a future update, you will be able to share your photos directly to the Feed by clicking the + button and then you can choose photos you have taken in VeVe as well as your showrooms, to post and Share. With this new feature, combined with the new photo editing tool, we hope to see a lot of amazing photos shared!
Security Improvements
Just got your favourite limited edition collectible? Been searching for that Secret-Rare and finally have it in your collection? Well thanks to a new suite of security measures HODLing onto them is about to get a whole lot easier!
In Q1 an extended range of security features will become available to those of you who are more safety-oriented. Depending on your device, you will soon have the ability to add:
- Pin code security
- Face i.d./finger print scanning
- 2FA
Now you can sleep easy knowing your collectibles (and their value!) are safe and sound :)
The VeVe Web Platform Gets Underway
In Q1 we will also begin building the browser version of VeVe so you can bring the world’s best digital collectibles experience to your desktop. The development will begin focusing on the Store and Market, and the first version rolled out in Q2.
It’s safe to say that 2021 is shaping up to be a HUGE year for VeVe as we enter a brand new era of collecting. Each quarter we will keep you updated on the development of the app and which new features you can look forward to so that you can continue to build your digital collections!
