VeVe Welcomes Chaosium Inc.

VeVe has partnered with Chaosium Inc., makers of the Call of Cthulhu tabletop roleplaying game, to bring their Mythos horror content to the digital collectible market.

For more than forty years, Chaosium (kay-oss-eum) has captivated gamers, readers, and mythic adventurers worldwide. One of their best-known releases - Call of Cthulhu - is a horror-themed role-playing game (RPG) that has been awarded more than 70 awards since its launch in the early ’80s! We’re proud to announce that content from this mythical world will soon be coming to VeVe!

Call of Cthulhu uses the Basic Role-Playing system, initially developed for RuneQuest and later refined for Call of Cthulhu. It combines a system of player characters with particular skills, an evolving storyline based on the progression of the game, and percentile dice to determine the outcome of a particular action or event within the game.

Unlike other RPG’s, it is not unusual for players of Call of Cthulhu to die in horrific circumstances or end up in an asylum, and players must work to obtain tools to defeat the horrors at the expense of their own sanity. In Call of Cthulhu, there are guarantees that players will eventually triumph over the forces of horror!
