Mondo, the most iconic creators of alternative movie posters, is bringing their limited edition artworks to VeVe

Over the last 15 years, the alternative movie poster has emerged as a new age collectible, connecting artists, fans and collectors to artworks that re-imagine the mass-produced nature of movie posters into high-quality, limited edition prints.

Beginning as a small merchandising arm of the Alamo Drafthouse cinema, Mondo has grown to become one of the largest and most popular pop culture print companies in the world, working with a huge array of licenses and artists to create an “ever-expanding hydra of entertainment collectibles” based on pop culture past and present.

The Mondo Gallery in Austin, Texas, commissions world-class illustrators and artists to remake classic movie posters based on fan-favorite movies and TV shows, which have become incredibly sought after collectibles and pieces of memorabilia. The works are often released as hand-numbered, limited edition prints, with many of them selling for thousands in auction houses.

Although Alternative Movie Posters originated as a niche offering, Mondo’s part pop-culture part fine art creations have brought these modern works into the limelight, and their prints continue to amass popularity within the collectible world.
