Complementary Medicine on Self-Healing

According to the viewpoint of Natural Healing, ‘disease’ means ‘dis’ and ‘ease’. And that is a process from disturbance towards recovery.

Natural Healing sees signs and symptoms of a disease as an expression of purification. for example coughing, sweating, and runny nose.

Our intelligent body has the vital force for self-healing. Hippocrates has said ‘Give me a fever, and I can cure every disease.

In a Contemporary study, it has been found that our immune system would respond to fever (Evans et al., 2015).

There is a healing order in Natural Healing, according to Hering’s Principle of Cure (a German Homeopath in the 1830s (Calabrese, 2012).

• From the upper part to the lower parts of the body.
• From the inner part to the outer parts of the body.
• From the newest disease to the older disease. In order words, symptoms disappear in reverse order from which they appeared.

Conclusion

Conventional Medicine may see fever, coughing, or runny nose as signs and symptoms of diseases. Whereas Complementary Medicine (Natural Healing) sees them as a healing process towards recovery. Before we use medicine to suppress these signs and symptoms, could we consider that our bodies have the intelligence of vital force for self-healing? Would natural remedies and treatment be a better option to assist the vital force of our bodies in healing?
