The International Live Music Conference (ILMC) 2018 has come to an end and we have to say — it was a complete success. Some of the high points were definitely the speech on our vision for the future that our COO Vasja delivered on one of the panels and spending some quality time with our good friend Imogen Heap. To get an insight into what ILMC means for Viberate, let’s make a quick recap of the last week’s goings-on and countless opportunities they’ve opened up for the future.

Let’s start at the beginning.

What is ILMC and why are we super excited to have been a part of it?

That’s an easy one. ILMC is one of *the* events for live music professionals worldwide that’s just hit 30 this year! What was first meant to be a one-time thing has grown into one of the leading world-class events that everyone in the industry is just dying to attend — keep in mind, it’s invitation-only. And we’ve not only been there, but hosted its 30th Birthday Blast-Off on the opening night, too. Pretty neat.

Kick-ass Blast-Off

The evening was just what we’d expected it to be and more. Our COO Vasja Veber, CBDO David Ceplak and CPO Anil Shrestha enjoyed the company of some 1,000 decision-makers from the industry and — you’ve guessed it — some really great live acts that shot them right into the stratosphere. In other words, it was a blast!

Work hard, play hard

Days 2, 3 and 4 were pretty busy, as we had some big and productive meetings with game-changing players from the industry, including United Talent Agency, one of the biggest talent agencies out there. They were intrigued by our mission, which is a huge starting point for potential partnerships and collaborations. Another promising meeting was the one we had with Ticketmaster, one of the leading ticket sales and distribution companies in the world. As we plan to get shoulder-deep in the ticketing business, we could very well say it was one of the key ones for us. We attended a very informative panel on the subject as well. Ticketing: Paying the Price discussed the evolution of ticketing through innovation and new tech.

Action — reaction

Another real highlight for us was definitely the speech of our COO Vasja Veber at the New Technology: Star makers panel, where he explained Viberate’s mission and plans for the future to some of the most important professionals in the live music industry — and got a great response, too. We also enjoyed the company of our good friend and celebrity ambassador Imogen Heap, who is always a source of inspiration.

All in all, a super informative and productive couple of days that have brought about new acquaintances, highly promising business connections and some really exciting plans for the future. We’re also invited to a big conference in the US in the following weeks and that’s just the beginning!
