Last Station: Improved Navigation
September was all about making sure the team works as well as the product.
Before we slipped into the Halloween spirit, we covered both tricks and treats by introducing important updates to the platform.

🔬 What we focused on:
Better navigation
We implemented several platform improvements that allow for smoother digital cruising. As for the good ol’ regular cruising, we treated ourselves to that as well — on an island teambuilding.
A week of bonding, sailing, swimming, and mountain biking for the Olympians among us left us recharged and ready to tackle upcoming challenges head-on.

#1 Improved editing functionalities
A neatly organized database is the backbone of everything we do. That’s why we make sure to keep upgrading editing features and interfaces, so both administrators and Page owners can navigate their inputs more easily and more precisely.
#2 Looked to Lil Nas X for marketing insights
We crunched Lil Nas X’s numbers a week after his debut album release to see what an average artist could learn from his tactics to maybe become the no. 1 streamed artist on Spotify themselves. See the breakdown for more details:
#3 Upgraded Country and Genre Pages
The refreshed design and new modules will provide better orientation around each entity’s standout artists and trends.
Each Country Page now also displays most streamed local tracks, most viewed videos, and artists that dominate the radio waves, while Genre Pages will also reveal who the hottest names and tracks are, and how popular the genre is across the globe.
💡 What we learned:
When it comes to the subject of navigation, there’s no better advice than the above. As any UX designer will tell you, the best user experience comes from subtly highlighting the stuff that matters. And as any HR manager or pirate captain will add, engaging your people the right way will take you the farthest.
