Despite February being the shortest month, we managed to squeeze in more than enough developments to make this monthly report as interesting as possible. Here’s what we’ve been itching to tell you.

Good news for regional festival owners

We’re proud to announce our partnership with Eventim, the leading ticket provider in the Adriatic region. Together, we are making exciting Festival Apps deals (and other opportunities) for festival owners, aiming to make the scene more digitalized, and the live music experiences even better. We’ll reveal all the juicy details soon.

We nominated the hottest Electronic acts of 2019

For the second year in a row, the International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) trusted us to select the nominees for the artist-based categories. We picked the top 5 artists in each category, based on their online popularity and growth in the past year. We’re not talking basic likes and follower numbers, but KPIs such as fanbase growth, peer support, and gigs performed. The winners, selected by public vote, will be announced at the Winter Music Conference, where our Vasja will also hold a panel with prominent industry names.

Tune into podcasts

Not only did we gain quite a bit of traction in the media world with the way we crunched the numbers for IDMA, we also attracted the attention of a couple of awesome podcasts. Vasja, our nr. 1 speaker, explains what Viberate does today, how we keep artists’ profiles up-to-date, and reveals plans to make our platform the world’s biggest marketplace for underrepresented artists to be discovered by promoters.

Hundreds of new claims to fame

Throughout February, we were happy to see the number of newly claimed profiles climb into the hundreds, among them legendary names such as Techno king Carl Cox, Drum and Bass stalwarts Black Sun Empire, metal heavyweights The Black Dahlia Murder, and funk-metal iconoclasts Living Colour.

As one of our objectives is helping artists grow and connect, we asked some of these freshly joined artists about career advice they’d like to share. Our editorial team thus covered Sound & Shape’s rock ’n’ roll life on the road, Mike Williams’ thoughts on social media, KOAN Sound’s views on creativity, and more.

Much more lies in store for us this month and the rest of the year, so be sure to stay tuned, while we continue to rock ’n’ roll!
