When you’re a startup, literally everything you try is an experiment. Launching new products, testing the market and evaluating the users’ needs is something that will bring a one of a kind learning experience to your team.

That is exactly what happened with the launch of Tonight. We built a unique event discovery app that is matching your taste with a vision to bring endless music experiences to music enthusiasts.

After a huge success and wide adoption of Tonight app in the first market, we dug deep into the data and analyzed every feedback, review and user habit. With a number of invaluable information we got, we upgraded a number of features in the app to make it the most personalized event discovery app in the world. But we are not stopping there! With many of you asking for months about Tonight coming to other destinations, we are ready to announce that an international launch in one of the world’s craziest party hotspots is coming in the next few months. Stay tuned for that!

Changing the game

Our mission is to empower every single music enthusiast to follow their passion. Whether it’s discovering new artists, events and places, getting deeper knowledge about music or making an educated business decision. We want to give endless opportunities to everyone involved in music.

Using the knowledge and the data we collected and analyzed over the past several years, we are completely revamping our platform Viberate.com. We talked with booking agents, management agencies, event organizers, promoters and most importantly with the one party that needs in-depth knowledge the most — artists. We evaluated their needs, pains and expectations and developed a deep understanding of what is missing in their careers.

Based on that, we want to create a unique platform with invaluable data to improve artist careers, open endless discovery possibilities to music enthusiasts, help booking agents spot rising stars, bring in-depth knowledge to management agencies, and predict trends on the music scene. With unique insights, everyone involved with music will finally get valuable data to boost their career.

Meet the stars of 2020

And while our product and development department were working on the new platform Viberate.com, our data science team focused on our most comprehensive trend prediction so far. To get the extensive overview of the electronic artists with the biggest potential, they analyzed more than 10 million data points from more than 100.000 artists around the world. After weeks of data mining and researching, we found 3 electronic artists that made the biggest breakthroughs in 2018 and 3 artists with the biggest potential for international success in 2020.

Our COO Vasja Veber revealed all the future stars at the Data Solution keynote at the amazing Winter Music Conference in Miami on March 26th. The room was packed with music industry leaders which had tons of questions about the possibility to use data on their project. Some of them even walked with Vasja back to the hotel just to get as much information about the benefits of using correct data to improve their careers. Miami was a success

Just a day before, Vasja met with our long-term advisor and Bitcoin pioneer Charlie Shrem, who was extremely impressed with Viberate’s progress over the years and the solutions that we are bringing to the table by the end of this year. A few hours later, Vasja and Charlie joined forces to talk about the future role of blockchain in music with Vladislav Ginzburg from Blockparty and Katya Fisher from Fisher Cataliotti at WMC’s Crypto & Blockchain panel. And while the debate opened many interesting ideas about the blockchain solutions, CNBC journalists Adrian Baschuk interviewed Vasja Veber and Vladislav Ginzburg about where blockchain will be in 3 years and how it will change the industry.

To top things off, we prepared something special for the thousands of industry leaders who flew into Miami to talk and learn about the newest trends, connect with their partners, and find new inspiring knowledge. Every single attendee received a special copy of WMC Magazine that included the most important trends in the industry. Viberate was handpicked to prepare an extensive 5 page spread about the music trends. The in-depth industry report tracks genre trends, highlights the breakout artists of the last year and predicts the stars of 2020. But the best was saved for last — our long-lasting data analysis for the biggest electronic music awards in the US IDMA came to life. After years of data tracking and months of analysis, something incredible happened. For the first time ever, 16 IDMA winners were announced, each one of them nominated on the basis of Viberate’s data. No bias, no industry politics, just pure data. Hats down to IDMA for bringing a new level of credibility to the industry. Couldn’t be happier to be a part of this story!
