Viberate contribution guide — step 3: Contribute Ethereum to Viberate’s token crowdsale

On 5th September, when Viberate token crowdsale goes live, you’ll be able to contribute. Be sure to visit our “token crowdsale” section of the website to get the correct ETH address for contribution and all other necessary info.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU’RE NOT TRANSFERING YOUR ETH FROM AN EXCHANGE OR SIMILAR SERVICE. TRANSFER ETH TO VIBERATE CROWDSALE ONLY FROM YOUR WALLET TO WHICH YOU OWN THE PRIVATE KEY.

1. Sending the contribution using MyEtherWallet

Visit www.myetherwallet.com, and click on the “Send Ether & Tokens” tab. You will need to unlock your wallet first: select the “Keystore File (UTC / JSON)” option, choose your locally saved keystore wallet file, enter the password, and click on the “Unlock” button.

Once your wallet is unlocked, paste the Viberate crowdsale ETH address (which you’ll be able to find on our “token crowdsale” subpage) into the “To Address” field on the “Send Transaction” page. Enter the amount of ETH you want to contribute in the “Amount to Send” field. In the “Gas Limit” field set the limit to 250.000. Gas limit is a small fee needed by the Ethereum network to process your transaction; excess gas limit will be refunded.

Double-check the address and amount you wish to contribute, and click on the “Generate Transaction” button to generate the transaction code. Confirm the code by clicking on the “Send Transaction” button that appears below the “Raw Transaction” and “Signed Transaction” fields.

That’s it! Once your transaction is processed, you will become you will become one of Viberate’s contributors!

2. Check your transaction

To be extra sure your transaction went through smoothly, you can use a service like Etherscan to check your wallet’s transaction history. To do that, find the shortcut link under the “Transaction History” section, which is shown to you after you unlock your wallet.

If your transaction is successful, your VIB tokens will be sent to your wallet automatically. If you use MyEtherWallet, VIB tokens will appear in the “Token Balances” section. Make sure you hold and backup your private keys in order to access to your wallet.
