We’ve changed, here’s how

Churchill once said that “to improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often”. We’re not *exactly* saying we’re perfect, but we do like to shake things up — and shake them hard — starting with our product. So hold on to your hats because we’ve got some crazy news:

Viberate’s website’s just got a brand new look — and a whole bunch of amazing little features!

That’s right, we’ve done it again. Change is what drives us forward, and as our website is a stepping stone to a new and improved live-music scene, we decided to take it one step further and tailor it to your needs. Aside from the overall make-up, which is nice and tidy, by the way, the first thing that really stands out is a clear distinction between fan and professional users.

Music to the fans’ ears

The fans’ page features a combination of black and white with loud splashes of red. As a fan, you can explore the world of over 250,000 artists, 500,000 events and 60,000 venues, participate in the rewarding system and get some pretty great merch from the store. Yes, the good things are here to stay and some even better ones have come their way. Among which, a completely personalized user experience you can enjoy by simply logging in. The account opens up with what we call Spotlight streaming music video previews of top rising stars from your preferred genres. Every minute, the Spotlight shines on another artist, giving you a neat and interactive overview of the up-and-coming (super)stars. That way you’ll always know who’s hot and who’s not!

Next, you can take a look at the raging events near you — just make sure to specify your location –, top musicians from your fav genres and top new music videos from the last 10 days — also selected according to your taste. You’ll never miss out on anything music-related again. Another thing you should check out is the Hot Venue section featuring the spot du jour, where talented musicians are regulars and true magic happens on a daily basis. Have a mad clubbing weekend ahead? This is where you start. You’re welcome.

Let’s get down to business!

We have something a little different prepared for music professionals. They can now enjoy browsing a separate, business-oriented page that provides them with all the necessary stats to make their daily course of action as simple and effective as possible. For them, signature elements of red have essentially made way for another chill color. The page is fancied up with a cool shade of green, which makes for quite a refreshing look. The pros can sign in as artists, booking agencies, venues or event organizers, which opens up a whole new and personalized world for them, too.

Just like with fans, their experience begins with Spotlight that features music video previews of top rising stars from the last 10 days tailored to their taste, so the artists can keep track of the competition, and other music professionals can snag virtuosos on their way up. What follows is a neat display of top agencies from around the world, so the professionals can keep a closer eye on them and their rosters, along with a whole bunch of recommendations on crazy events nearby (location, location, location!) to always keep up with the latest goings-on in the area. Not to mention a mean selection of artists and top new videos from the last 10 days, both of which fit the user’s genre choice. Last but not least, pro users, too, can benefit from the Hot Venue feature, be it to plan their next gig or further promote their business.

We’re gradually getting closer to becoming the decentralized marketplace for the global live-music industry and, as this is a big step in that direction, we’re super excited about it! But there’s more. There are some huge changes coming by the end of the year and the beginning of the next one, so make sure you don’t miss out on all the fun. Stay tuned for what comes next!
