Beyond buzzwords and Blockchain hype

Before terms like ‘decentralization,’ ‘trustless technology,’ and ‘cryptocurrency’ became part of the international zeitgeist, blockchain and Bitcoin were fringe concepts, obsessed over by technologists, futurists, early adopters, and admittedly some darker corners of the web.

Those with imagination were the first who saw beyond Bitcoin to the full-scale disruptive potential of distributed networks akin to the Internet in their power to democratize, return power to individuals and shift paradigms with the power of the crowd.

Three years ago, three such early adopters began developing the future of video creation, curation and consumption with these values at the forefront. Today, VIDDO’s co-founders are still committed to creating a sustainable solution that lives beyond the hype of present day trends.

A video platform created years ahead of its time

The task: Create a video sharing platform that distributes revenue fairly to every stakeholder, is economically sustainable, 100% transparent and legally compliant, and attractive to creators and consumers working on competing platforms. The process was neither easy nor fast.

Our founders knew their idea was big, important, and disruptive, but timing was key. While society at large was cozying up to the idea of decentralization — and getting burned by rampant data scandals and ad fatigue — VIDDO’s founders self-financed a company, and worked out, reworked, designed, developed, tested and built a video platform for the future, solving problems of the present.

After several iterations and pivots and a year spent building an in-house, world class dev and marketing team, today’s product is the real deal. And the best part is, we’re still years ahead of our peers.

VIDDO’s first visionaries

VIDDO’s story begins with Laszlo Tamas and Gabor Sipos, two entrepreneurs and friends obsessed with finding innovative solutions for exceptionally complex problems. The two spent a year carefully developing (and rethinking and redeveloping) what VIDDO would look like before diving into its creation. After a year of intensive planning they were joined by legal expert Gabor Habo, and started work bringing VIDDO’s patented technology to life.

Laszlo Tamas, Founder, Chief of Strategy

Laszlo Tamas is a serial entrepreneur and time-tested executive with a history of building successful companies. He merges a deep understanding of finance, a bottomless passion for innovative technology and radical empathy for consumers and customers to create long-term solutions.

From large-scale real estate developments, to Forex trading and, for the past three years, VIDDO, Laszlo has created human-centric products with a human-centric mindset.

Gabor Sipos, Co-founder, CEO

Gabor Sipos is a Co-founder and the Managing Director of VIDDO, with over two decades in managerial positions at international companies including Tesco, Nestle and Chello Central Europe. His obsession with solving problems spans size and scale of organizations, best illustrated by his legacy of building high-performance teams, and a deep understanding of customer needs.

At one time a competitive ice hockey player, Gabor’s optimism, energy and proactivity are infectious — a quality that serves the VIDDO team and project well as they set out to take on the world of video as we know it.

Gabor Habo, Co-founder, International Law

Gabor Habo, VIDDO’s third Co-founder, also joined the party close to two years ago, raising the bar for VIDDO’s legal standard. With two and a half decades of legal experience in both the public and private sector his expertise in corporate, company and franchise law keeps VIDDO on course and 100% legitimate in the eyes of the law, especially important in light of today’s data scandals.

Furthermore, Gabor’s legal expertise is the driving force behind VIDDO’s VIS (Virtual Influencer Sales) US patent.
