Earlier today, it was shared that AWS suffered an outage, affecting millions of users across the globe as multiple applications like Roku and Adobe, which utilize the service, went down as well. Amazon has stated that the outages were caused by problems with their service that processes large streams of data, Kinesis.

Last year, millions of users were also affected when a similar situation caused Google Cloud Services to go down.

We believe that these mass outages will always be a threat to vital services as long as organizations continue to rely on the dominant centralized providers.

“The beauty of the VideoCoin Network is in its ability to be flexible in this type of situation. Our service offloads work to decentralized resources so outages don’t occur. Further, the service scales with load, so any business, big or small, can build reliably on our network.” said VideoCoin Network service provider Live Planet’s CEO Halsey Minor.

When companies of any size are locked into entrenched vendors like these cloud products, they put themselves at risk. Organizations make themselves dependent on cloud providers that have no reliable way to stop these unforeseen outages.

This is the obvious need for VideoCoin Network. We’re at the tipping point, adoption of decentralized solutions is forecasted to grow exponentially and VideoCoin Network will lead the way with our already best-in-class video delivery platform.
