Endemol Shine UK Adds to Short-Form, Branded Content Arsenal
Endemol Shine UK deepens its commitment to short-form and branded content with two separate deals. It announced today that it has acquired creative production house Electric Robin and digital talent management firm OP Talent.
The companies will operate independently within Endemol Shine UK, reporting to its commercial director Laurence Jones.
“Electric Robin’s track record for creating bespoke, quality content will be a great addition to our branded and short form output” said in a statement. “OP Talent’s roster of male skewing gamers will work brilliantly alongside FlipSide and their strong line-up of influencers.”
The British arm of Dutch-based media conglomerate Endemol Shine Group, Endemol Shine UK is behind a diverse range of reality franchises and scripted shows including “Big Brother,” “Black Mirror,” “Broadchurch,” “Deal or No Deal,” “Masterchef,” “Mr. Bean” and “Peaky Blinders.”
Endemol Shine UK’s commercial department includes award-winning digital studio Endemol Beyond UK, short-form online video programming creators ChannelFlip and social talent agency FlipSide, along with teams covering brand partnerships, digital products and services and live events, consumer products and publishing.
Electric Robin brings added expertise in short-form and branded content to the Endemol Shine UK mix. Founded by directors Kevin Batchelor and Ross Brandon in 2013, the boutique production house’s work includes branded films (Doritos, Team GB, Superdry) and promos for some of the U.K.’s biggest TV shows (“Strictly Come Dancing,” “Britain’s Got Talent”).
Established in 2012 by Liam Chivers, OP Talent is home to 11 of the U.K.’s top online influencers, including KSI, Legends of Gaming host Ali-A and YouTube prankster Comedy Shorts Gamer. It brands and marketing agencies to create content opportunities, brand integrations and product sponsorships.
