‘2020 Countdown’ grabs 39 Million Live views

Even after the election, one live stream was able to capture the attention of a vast audience.

Buzzfeed’s “2020 Countdown” started on Wednesday evening (Nov 9.) and ran for over 3 hours. It was simply a countdown until election day in Nov. 2020. It was also accompanied by some nice calming elevator music. ;)

The live stream was viewed by 39 million people while it was live, and shared over 770K times. The stream, powered by Vidpresso, also managed to collect 160K comments discussing the election.

As far as live stream production quality goes, this one lands on the simple side. However, there’s certainly something to be said for being timely.
