Jan 2023 30-day Writing Challenge Day 28
My Mother’s Worst Advice
I really cannot think of any.
Although, if you held a gun to my head I would . . . still laugh and say, none. Every word of advice my mom gifted me has served me well at some point or other. Even the stuff I scoffed at, at the time, I’ve come to acknowledge, accept and feel grateful for it.
I may not always have taken the advice seriously when I received it, but I surely treasure every suggestion, and every wise word she’s said.
My mom always encouraged me to be:
Active
Bold
Curious
Determined
Encouraging
Flexible
Grateful
Honest
Impartial
Joyful
Kind
Loving
Mindful
Nice
Optimistic
Proactive
Quirky
Responsible
Self-confident
Tolerant
Upbeat
Versatile
Warm
Xenial
Young-at-heart
Zestful
See what I did there? An A to Z.
My mom tried her best to show me by example and I can only hope I can be everything she was ❤
